“In the spring of 2010, we visited Jared Rocha to view some of his red fox pups. After visiting with him for a moment, it was evident that Jared was a competent breeder. He listened to our concerns and helped pick not only a top-notch hunting dog but also a loving family dog named Scout. Jared’s techniques when training dogs adjust to each individual dog and their personalities. We hunted with Scout and was amazed by his leading, nose, and hunting drive. We hunted with other individuals who said they couldn’t believe how good Scout was at only a year old. We recently took Scout out for hunting again and received numerous compliments on his quartering ability, nose, and discipline. Scout will be going back for advanced training this summer, and the we are confident that he will be one of the best-trained dogs in the field come next year”
“In early 2011, we were searching for a Lab to have ready for the ’11-’12 waterfowl season. After speaking with Jared Rocha, we decided on a four-month-old black pup named Tule. With Jared’s help, we decided on a hardy hunting dog that would fit well as a family dog with my wife and young kids. By October, Tule had completed basic training and was ready for the early Klamath Basin season. During his first hunt, Tule chased after a goose that had been shot and brought it back to the user. Tule has since become a great hunting dog and is also calm around children and their friends”
“I’ve been raising hunting labs for 40 years and have never missed a weekend shoot at my duck club in the Grasslands. I’ve always had two dogs, an older one and a younger one coming up. When my young dog died unexpectedly last year, I was unsure if my 13-year-old lab could handle a full season. That’s when I contacted Jared and visited his kennels. I was impressed with his first-rate operation and the fact that he does all the training himself, unlike many big-time trainers who take your money and hand the dog off to an apprentice trainer.
I bought a 7-month-old female from Jared with some basic obedience and gun dog training. She was retrieving consistently 14 to 21 ducks per hunt (we have a couple of triple blinds) at just 9 months old. She’s the best dog I’ve ever had at less than a year old and is great at home with my wife. I can’t wait for this season and am taking her back to Jared for summer training on handling. I wholeheartedly recommend Jared without reservation. You won’t be disappointed.”
